After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lawrence Taylor Throwback Celebrity Golf Weekend is returning bigger and better than ever. The celebrities will be shining on the links at the Tamarac Woodmont Country Club and the Hollywood Hollybrook Golf and Tennis Club.

The LT Throwback Celebrity Golf Weekend has supported the Fore Life, Inc. organization since 2009. The not-for-profit organization uses the game of golf as a character builder for vulnerable youth ranging in age from 5 to 18. The mission is to empower youth to survive and succeed through the use of decision-making and social skills learned through the game of golf.

The 2021 event has already sold out and the lucky New York Giants and Lawrence Taylor fans are in for a star-studded treat with the likes of Hall of Famer linebacker Harry Carson and linebacker teammate Brian Kelley participating. South Florida basketball fans will be treated to the likes of Alonzo Mourning, Ray Allen and Pompano Beach native Eddie Jones.

The ThrowBack Celebrity weekend kicks off with a Sip and Smoke welcome reception on Thursday, April 22 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from 7 to 10 p.m.

Friday will feature the ThrowBack Celebrity Golf Team Challenge at the Woodmont Country Club with a startup time of 8 a.m. The Friday Night Funk Fest is at the Guitar Hotel from 7:30 to 11 p.m. with prizes given to the funkiest ’70s outfits.

Golfing aficionados will be getting in some more time on the links by participating in LT’s Super Skin$ Game at the Hollybrook Golf & Tennis Club starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 24.

Lunch, scoring and payouts will commence at the conclusion of play. The Jammin in the Park & Art Fest has been canceled. Overtime golf on Sunday will provide one more opportunity for a round of golf at the Grand Palms in Pembroke Pines for the diehards who have survived the weekend.
